How do I enter paintings in GWS exhibitions?

First, you will need to find a copy of the prospectus, which has all the details about how to enter a show. All GWS members receive a copy of the prospectus. Also, you can download a copy of the prospectus for each show from this website or you may contact the Exhibition Chair to have a copy mailed to you. The prospectus is usually available 8 – 12 weeks before the deadline for digital images.

Read the prospectus and choose one of the 3 methods for entering GWS exhibitions:

Image resolution should be at least 300 dpi with a minimum of 1800 pixels on the longer side.

1. Fill out the entry form found on the prospectus; label each JPEG image with ArtistLastName/ArtistFirstName/Nameofpainting.jpg and put on a CD (Image resolution should be at least 300 dpi with a minimum of 1800 pixels on the longer side). Mail a check, entry form, and CD to the entry chair.

2. Fill out the entry form found on the prospectus; label each JPEG image with ArtistLastName/ArtistFirstName/Nameofpainting.jpg and email to entries@georgiawatercolorsociety.com. Mail a check and entry form to the entry chair.

3. Fill out the entry form online and pay using PayPal at http://georgiawatercolorsociety.com/showentry. Email your labeled JPEG image (ArtistLastName/ArtistFirstName/Nameofpainting.jpg) to entries@georgiawatercolorsociety.com.

If you are entering a Member Exhibition, you must be a GWS member. If you are entering the Signature Member Exhibition, you must be a Signature member of GWS. National Exhibitions are open to all watercolorists.
